Extremely detailed dissection of the Boeing 737. I'm impressed with the depth and width of the information contained in the book. A very rich, and TECHNICAL book. A lot of illustrations, which is very nice.
The amount of material in this book puts all other widely available references to shame; at the same time, you may get discouraged if you are only looking for a general "outsider's read". It contains a lot of information that would have otherwise been found in the 737 operations manual, which is not publicly available, or only available through specific channels at great costs. If you read it all and only remember 1% of the contents, you will know too much about the 737 (unless if you are an operator of course).
Engineering/manufacturing is not the main focus/primary perspective of this book. However, since the book contains detailed information about all the systems on the 737, you can expect to understand a lot about the engineering behind the plane.
I bought the book from Amazon in US, only the budget version was available. Though I would personally pay a bit more for a "deluxe" version, with better paper and larger fonts.
