(More customer reviews)Since this book was published well before the launch of the first stage of the International Space Station, it is not the book for someone who wants to know the story of the ISS since its launch. Many things have happened that could not have been predicted. Other things that one might have guessed, such as delays, make the recent story very interesting but, of course, are not included in this book. What it does have is lots of wonderful pictures of satellites that came before and stories about how we got to the place where we could launch the ISS. If anyone is interested in the politics of NASA and JPL and the government and how they resolve their problems, this book has a lot of information: I don't know how accurate it is but its a good read, anyway.
