This was one of the first books that I read concerning comercial aviation. The book is well written and provides information about most of the main comercial aircraft. The author then goes on to describe the routine of a comercial flight and the safety and maintenance required for a safe flight. The book, however, has certain limitations, as it is concerned with most comercial jet aircraft it lacks the detail that would be desired by certain aviation enthusiasts. Some of the sections, especially the one about Russian aircraft, are very short and do not provide enough information. The book is very easy to read and thus offers a very comprehensive introduction to the aviation scene. I would recomend it to any reader who does know much about aviation, but other readers may find it rather limited albeit interesting
